My experience with learning languages is kinda rich, so, so far I, I have been learning, three languages, except my, my native language, which is Arabic and, uh, first to start with my native language, um, I have both, I have both learned my native language, Tunisian Arabic, which is a dialect, between brackets, and Arabic, I learned it formally through classroom environments, because it’s not a spoken language in our country it’s different from the local dialect, the venacular, then I learned French because all of my primary and secondary education was in French, so I learned French almost like a native speaker, in Tunisia, in my home country, and uh, I had, I was exposed to English too, during my um, end of my, my primary education, and I was exposed to English and as um, an ESL learner, cuz I learned it in the UK, not in my home country, and it was during one year, and then I learned it in my country, after that experience, and also, before that I learned Italian, which is, but not through formal education though uh medias, through television, since very young age, because in Tunisia we have Italian television and Italian is kind of, um, rooted in the local culture, so it’s kind of eclectic experience and with different levels of proficiency. |
