ACTFL Convention
CALPER at ACTFL 2009 in San Diego
Again this year, CALPER participated in the annual ACTFL Convention. Our faculty gave a number of presentations and we also exhibited our teaching and professional development materials. It was nice to see  many of our colleagues again. 
 
Most of the materials we brought are freely downloadable from our site, so if you did not get your copy of a particular working paper etc. go to our Publications page and download them from there.

 
  
 
New Publication
Understanding Teachers of Heritage and Domestic Language Learners by Karen E. Johnson and Joan Kelly Hall is the 2nd multimedia resource in the LCTL Teacher Preparation series. We published the CD a few weeks ago and it is now available from our web site. Publication Information

Language Advocacy Resource Site. CALPER compiled information that helps teachers to prepare for advocating world language programs. On the site you will find links to advocacy pages by national and state foreign language organizations, information on promotional materials and brochures, links to articles and innnovative advocacy programs. Visit our site at http://calper.la.psu.edu/languageadvocacy.php. We also invite you to share other advocacy pages with us for potential inclusion on our CALPER site. Each workshop will meet for 9 hrs over three mornings or three afternoons. ACT 48 clock hours are available for Pennsylvania teachers.
