IRIS Replication Award to Amanda Huensch

Congratulations to CALPER Project Coordinator Dr. Amanda Huensch (University of Pittsburgh) who received the 2022 Instruments and Data for Research in Language Studies (IRIS) award. Together with her co-author Dr. Charlie Nagle (University of Texas at Austin), the award was given to the two researchers for their study investigating the relationship among intelligibility, comprehensibility, and accentedness in the speech of second language learners of Spanish of varying proficiency in instructed contexts. Amanda Huensch is assistant professor in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Pittsburgh. She leads the project “Advanced Pronunciation Instruction in L2 Arabic” in CALPER 2022-2026.
